Any of you have good websites, blogs, etc. about bikepacking that you'd like to share? Share them here.

Bikepacking.net is the best source I have found. I did some trips last summer including part of the Colorado Trail and a gravel loop from Canon City CO. up Phantom Canyon Road, a few detours and back down on Shelf Road. A great ride!

Pedaling Nowhere, Bunyan Velo (quarterly publication), and While Out Riding are all really good bike packing sites.

Anybody else just like to go places on their bike without the overarching feeling of it all being so contrived and hip?

I'd say it's even possible to enjoy yourself more that way.

The beauty of bikepacking is in doing your own thing not following others or creating marketing copy, no?

Another site with some good information is trails-tours.com. He has a really good article on first aid kits in the gear and stuff section. Something that can be easily overlooked when setting out on an adventure.

Smithhammer,

What about http://bikepackersmagazine.com/ ?

Neil Beltchenko is one of the guys behind that site. He just finished up 3rd place on the divide this year.
