Long story but i ended up with a Spectre. It's slightly lighter and snappier than the gradient but obviously doesn't have the rackmounts or the ability for really wide tyres.
I'm pretty sure I could get at least 38's on it which is probably going to be good enough for me.
So i did weigh it - built up - and it is 9kg. This is ultegra hydro build with hunt 4 seasons wheels, shimano xtr pedals and some schwalbe tubeless g-one speeds.
Now i doubt the gradient is going to be a much heavier frame, maybe 300 grams or so,
Must say i am loving the spectre so far....
