The gravel cycling community lost one of its riders during the recent Land Run 100. Please remember Pete's family and donate if you can

Many of you have reached out about the details surrounding the cardiac arrest event at mile 4 in the race on Saturday. We have refrained from making any details public until we had spoken with the family and given them time to grieve privately.
We were devastated to hear of Pete’s [Marrone] passing during the race on Saturday.
By all accounts, Pete was a fun-loving, life-of-the-party guy who loved cycling, kayaking and cooking. Our hearts go out to his family and friends, and we are beyond grateful to all the riders who stopped on the course to offer aid on Saturday. This truly exemplifies the selfless community that is gravel cycling.
Pete’s friends have started a GoFundMe to ease the financial burden on his wife Charity and their three daughters during this difficult time. The link to the GoFundMe is in this article.
Hold your loved ones close and live life to the fullest, like Pete did.
We love you all.

I once had an awkward moment, just to see how it felt.
